Our new interns

Elif Güneş Bozkurt

Hello! My name is Elif Güneş Bozkurt. I am a master’s degree student in Global Studies at Leipzig University. I joined World Heritage Watch as an intern to take an active role in a cause that I am deeply interested in and gain insights into an organization that promotes and safeguards cultural and natural heritage. It’s a great opportunity for me to learn from experts in the field and gain practical experience that will help me build a strong foundation for my future endeavours.

Julie Eggers

I wanted to intern at World Heritage Watch because they talk about issues that require urgent action and help hold both states and international bodies accountable. Not only do they support indigenous voices, but they also emphasize the importance of protecting heritage for the future, especially in the face of climate change.

Erasmus traineeship grant

If you are not a German citizen, to help you during your internship, make sure to check the ERASMUS + Grants for youth traineeship!

Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. It has an estimated budget of €26.2 billion. This is nearly double the funding compared to its predecessor programme (2014-2020). The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life.

Erasmus+ is open to many individuals and organisations, although eligibility varies from one action to another and from one country to another. Individuals can take part in many of the opportunities funded by Erasmus+, although most will have to do so through an organisation taking part in the programme. The eligibility of individuals and organisations depends on the country in which they are based. Eligible countries are divided into two groups, Programme countries and Partners countries. Although Programme countries are eligible for all actions of Erasmus+, Partner countries can only take part in some, and are subject to specific conditions.
